How to save TikTok videos directly to your gallery
Downloading a TikTok is easy. Finding it later is the hard part. The file can end up in a downloads folder you never open, mixed in with PDFs and screenshots. What most people really want is simple: the video in the Gallery or Photos app, next to their own videos.
This guide shows how to save TikTok videos to your gallery on Android and iPhone.
Android: TikTok to Gallery
- In TikTok, tap Share on the right, then Copy link.
- Open Chrome and go to our TikTok video downloader.
- Long-press the box and tap Paste.
- Tap the spinning globe, then Download Now.
- When the download finishes, open Gallery or Google Photos.
Most Android phones show new downloads in the Gallery right away, often in an album called Download or Downloads. On some phones it takes up to a minute to appear.
If it does not show in the Gallery
- Open the Files app, go to Download, and tap the video once. This often makes the Gallery notice it.
- In Google Photos, tap Library and check Download under "Photos on device".
- Restart the Gallery app.
iPhone: TikTok to Photos
- In TikTok, tap Share, then Copy link.
- Open Safari and go to our TikTok downloader.
- Paste the link and tap the globe.
- Tap Download Now. If Safari asks, tap Download.
- Tap the blue arrow in the Safari address bar and tap the video.
- Tap the share icon and choose Save Video.
The video is now in Photos, under Recents.
iPhone saves Safari downloads to the Files app first. The Save Video step is what moves it into Photos. After that, you can delete the copy in Files to save space.
Make a TikTok album
If you save many TikToks, put them in one album so they do not get lost between family photos.
- Android (Google Photos): select the videos, tap +, then Album. Name it "TikTok".
- iPhone (Photos): select the videos, tap the share icon, Add to Album, then New Album.

Saving just the sound

Using a computer?
